With over 30 years of experience in financial services and international wealth management, my career has taken me from the high streets of the UK to the financial centres of Asia — and the thread running through all of it has been a genuine commitment to helping clients protect what they have built.

I began my career at Midland Bank in the UK, which later became HSBC, where I spent the first five years working as a personal financial advisor to retail banking clients. From there I moved into corporate banking, advising SMEs and FTSE 100 companies on financial structuring, business planning, and asset protection. That combination of individual and corporate advisory experience gave me a well-rounded foundation that continues to shape how I approach client relationships today.

In 2001, I made the move to Hong Kong, where I spent over a decade advising high-net-worth expatriates on retirement planning, savings, family protection, and international property investment — with a particular specialism in the London residential market. In 2015, I relocated to Bangkok, where I am now based and where I work with HNW clients across Thailand and the wider region.

At Soteria Trusts, my three core areas of specialism are UK and US tax planning, trust structuring, and international estate planning. I work particularly closely with US and UK citizens living overseas, and I collaborate regularly with specialist US accountants to ensure that clients with American tax obligations — including those navigating PFIC rules, FBAR reporting, and FATCA compliance — receive fully joined-up advice. For UK clients, this means inheritance tax mitigation, trust-based wealth structuring, and pension planning using HMRC-approved schemes. For many clients, both of these worlds overlap, and navigating that complexity is something I find deeply rewarding.

My clients across Thailand, including HNW Thai nationals, UK expats, US citizens, and European residents, can expect a hands-on, professional service built on honesty and integrity. I believe that good financial advice should be straightforward, responsive, and centred on what actually matters to the client — not just the product. I take the time to understand each client’s full picture before recommending any course of action, and I remain actively involved throughout the entire process.

If you would like to explore how trust structuring, tax planning, or estate planning could work for your situation, I would be happy to hear from you.
